What the heck is a dramady?

Alec Baldwin is making a comedy.

About Lyme disease.

I don't know whether to be confused, amused, or appalled.

Okay, perhaps its one of those gallows humor types of things where the humor is used to help deal with the true awfulness of the affliction. Sort of MASH type humor. Or Heathers (Yeah, I'm old)

I don't care much for comedies except the very blackest anyway (this is common among EMT's).

Unfortunately I don't have that much hope or trust. Here's a synopsis I found:

A retro piece taking place in late '70s Long Island, the coming-of-age project focuses on "two families who fall apart when precarious relationships, real estate problems, and Lyme disease converge in the heart of suburbia."

I dunno, it sounds a little tacky to me. I fear that Lyme disease will be treated as either a bad cold or as a hypochondriacal complaint.

Lest you think me too sensitive, replace the phrase Lyme disease with the word Cancer and see how that sentence reads:

A retro piece taking place in late '70s Long Island, the coming-of-age project focuses on "two families who fall apart when precarious relationships, real estate problems, and Cancer converge in the heart of suburbia."

Yeah, that sounds pretty tacky.

See, where you went wrong was in thinking that anything with a Baldwin had the possibility of not being tacky.

Lyme Disease is a Very serious issue, a chronix illensss which is hidden by our Government and their so called Bio Weapon test labs, this horrible disease in most cases eventually leads to ALS, MS, FM, Chronic Fatigue, Arthritis just to mention a few...
And a total disruption of lives of people and their families.
This disease further leads to most cancers aswe know them today.
A comedy about such ???
I see nothing to laugh about.

Lyme Disease is not only spread by Ticks alone, but by bodily fluids, mosquitos, dust mites, animal bites, and many other ways.
This is a very undisclosed disease by the medical community which truly lacks any understanding and care of it.
Most docotors do not know how to treat it and are clueless about the extreme symptomos it offsets.
Affected by it are the entire Kennedy family, George W Bush, Governor George E Pataki, Richard Gere, Tom Seaver, Peter Seeger, Chelsea O'Donnell, Michael J. Fox, Brooke Landau, Neneh Cherry, Mary-Lynn Currier, Berkley Bedell, Alice Walker, Christie Todd Whitman, Michael Zaslow, Tara McMenamy and Peter Sarsgaard.
Just to name a few famous people.
And Millions of americans whos lives are totally being ruined daily.
Lime Specialist Doctors are experts in the field and the blood tests as we know them today are very inaccurate with little significance.
Most family docs prescribe a few weeks of antibiotics which actually does nothing for the disease itself.
In fact it may worsen it by allowing the little bigs hide deeper within your body and form into different forms such as L and Cyst forms.
Insurance comanies are in denials and CDC is absolutely of no help and they are pnes repsonsible for this whole mess.
Lyme Disease is not rare infact its a hugge epidecmic, most agree that it is much bigger than HIV / Aids..
