So now my disease has yet again reset my priorities. It does that. I still intend to hike the Long Trail, but it may be that it will be the summer after this. I need to focus on getting through the day, it seems.
So intrepid reader, I intend to continue to write about living with this. I thought about shutting my blog down, but it feels therepuetic, I'll try to keep the TMI to a bare minimum.

Seriously, whatever helps, right? And 40 is an arbitrary age. It could just as well be 41. Or 42 - isn't that the answer?
Why not give yourself some power and say that you've chosen to change the deadline? Gives you more fluidity and lends less power to the Lyme. Perhaps rather than be an all or none, you could contemplate some day hikes along the trail. There are some lovely day hikes near your home. Besides, what is true today may not be true in June. Blessings abound
